Windy days!

Poor Hope is not enjoying these windy days in Wyoming. Her favorite place is now in the shower in our bathroom. It is the only place that is somewhat quiet. We had sustained winds of 40 plus miles per hour with gusts over 50 all day long. The other day we had to tie down our barbecue to the deck because it went flying across the deck and hit the side rail like it was built out of plastic. It is a good size barbecue and watching it fly by the sliding door was a little frightening. So is Wyoming the best we can do????

What happens if you have a windy thunderstorm? Do Max and Hope share the bathroom? Every move requires an adjustment period to fully appreciate the wonderful qualities each area has to offer. We are confident Cheyenne has a great deal to offer even though it may be somewhat hidden at the moment.

Poor Hope.... is Max behind the toilet?

Mom, Dad, how much to you love southeast Texas after your 'adjustment period' of, what, 12 years?
Just playing devil's advocate here.

Honestly, I hope you guys fall in love with Cheyenne after the spring thaw.

HI, Karen and Joel! It's Sarah Shoemaker, and the rest of the family from Dry Valley Road! We got your new year's newsletter and thoroughly enjoyed hearing about how well you guys are doing. We wanted to get in touch so I decided this would be faster and easier than a letter!
We miss you guys lots, it's a little lonely out here! But we're so happy for Joel and his new position and that everything is working out for you guys in Cheyenne.
Tell Joel thanks a million for introducing me to Wendy and WEST, Inc. I love my job! The sites are going well, I'm finally starting to see some birds (AT LAST). I even saw 3 bald eagles at Lost River yesterday.
Did you guys get Joel's GPS? I mailed it before Christmas and then had second thoughts about the postal service's handling of it-- I hope it arrived safe and sound.
Well, you guys look great and Piper does, too! The parents say hi, we still talk about you guys a lot. I'm still working on getting some goats! Feel free to write or email us and keep us updated on the goings-on!
Miss you neighbors!
Sarah
