Poor Hope is not enjoying these windy days in Wyoming. Her favorite place is now in the shower in our bathroom. It is the only place that is somewhat quiet. We had sustained winds of 40 plus miles per hour with gusts over 50 all day long. The other day we had to tie down our barbecue to the deck because it went flying across the deck and hit the side rail like it was built out of plastic. It is a good size barbecue and watching it fly by the sliding door was a little frightening. So is Wyoming the best we can do????

So happy!
We are very happy to have arrived safe and sound. Piper was my little trooper, she seemed to take everything in stride. I would like to thank my dad and Grandma Kay for helping us make the trip out here. We could not of done it without you and it means so much to us to have such support. Thank you mom for letting dad be gone to help us with this move. I know it wasn't easy having to stay home. Piper can't wait to see you soon! We will give you at least 2 weeks notice when we move next ....ha ha ha
We arrived!
The truck arrived on a howling blustery day!! The driver said our last driver offered to take him out to dinner for moving us... I think we are getting a reputation with the Wheaton Moving Company and it isn't necessarily a good one. We seem to pick somewhat difficult places to get to. I don't even know what residential housing looks like anymore.
Here is the house we are in for now. We are renting for now but it is a little crowded out here so we may move more in the "country".....did you note the sarcasm in that?

The journey continues..
The adventure begins!
So after about 7 or 8 attempts to get the truck up the hill and turned around he thought it would be a good idea to have the suburban pull him up the hill....this is when I ran to get the camera and the guys who were with him to help load joined me far away behind the trees, thinking this can't be a good idea. After the truck moved about 1 foot ( the poor suburban gave it all it had) they decided to jack- knife the truck into position. Note that the truck already had two loads in it and that morning it had just snowed enough to make the hill slick. Our driver was DETERMINED to get the truck in position though, since we had sayed the last driver did it. Of course he had done it in perfect weather and the hill wasn't slick at all. It all worked out in the end and gave us some good entertainment!
